It wouldn't switch to 4 low.

The next morning all kinds of lights were on and/or flashing - VSC, 4 Hi, 4 Lo, ALSD, Check Engine - and key on/key off did nothing to help the whole day, though it seemed to drive just fine. When I got home I pulled the negative cable and noticed lots of corrosion built up around it.

I was in 4-high. It was working fine. When I turned the switch to 4 low while in neutral, the light on the dash just blinked rapidly. It wouldn't switch to 4 low. 1. Loose or bad gas cap. It is possible for the check engine light to come on in Tundra due to a loose or bad gas cap.
