The G42 is significantly larger and doesn't have the capacity of the Max. What I like about .380 is that there are true, tiny pocket pistols in that caliber for when you can't or won't carry anything larger. 29 May 2022 ... It appears that when it's compared to the P365 there is a noticeable difference in size and weight. They are defensive pistols for close in. The 42 is too big for my desire. For many years, my pocket carry was a Beretta .25 950BS. When I came across the LCP, I preferred fewer rounds of a potentially more capable caliber and it already fit the holster I was used to in my pocket. The Hogue grip was a needed add-on.

I think BG os much better in safety - it has a proper firing pin block, while lcp max, the same as lcp 2, just have a sear with a very strong engagementbang half-cock catch. The Ruger LCR .38 is a great alternative to the S&W 442/642. The LCR 9mm is my primary off-duty. All it needed was a Hi-Viz front sight to make it perfect.
