If you're not trading high volume. % wise the Micro is twice that of the ES. It will eat into profits for sure and learning to trade so that it's less of a factor is a great thing to do. The only risk you have in trading the ES is losing all your money. I only need the ES to move 0.03% or a little more to profit, or sometimes between 4-5 ticks. The ES doesn’t move quite as fast as the NQ, but there’s more value in each price movement with less noise. Whereas the NQ at $5 a tick will move 10-15 points a second, the ES moves $12.50 a tick maybe 5-6 points, but not as volatile in price action.
