For me, every time I watch a HiDive anime, I have to go to the settings and check the subtitles box and that usually fixes it. Getting the same on the Xbox One app on both HIDIVE and Crunchyroll shows. I logged in to my PS4 not too long ago and it seems subtitles for HIDive shows have returned to working order.

HiDive has a lot of exclusives that you won't find anywhere else (many of them are niche titles though) and since there's no reason to subscribe to Funimation anymore due to it merging into Crunchyroll, HiDive is now the best choice to add as a secondary alongside Crunchyroll.
