Well, in my opinion, if you used to the vanilla way of doing things. Darkness Falls is a good way of spicing it up. Plus it has a class system and adds in more enemies to get used to. Undead Legacy is basically Fallout/ Skyrim in 7 Days to Die. Particularly with its weight system for the inventory. Although it doesn't add in any new enemies.

Laborer is by far the best starting class. Early access to all forges and workbenches means you can reliably have concrete by day 7 and steel by day 14. Early blood moons are easily the biggest challenge in DF, so having a properly reinforced base makes all the difference. Second class to unlock is scientist.
