Apr 29, 2023 · Zelda 1 had plenty of rooms, locked doors and had a new item in them. They were maze like, had secrets, had bosses. They were dungeons, way more than the beasts in BOTW. If BOTW was trying to be like Zelda 1 it failed in the dungeon department. I think they should look at Zelda 1s dungeon design, non linear, optional items and so on.
