Setting up a net at home. I’m a volleyball Dad trying to set up a court at home for my daughter to practice with her friends and teammates (high school age). I have a great indoor space in a barn, but the net would have to span across 50 ft (15.24 m) using extension ropes/cables attached to wooden beams. I know that’s roughly 15-20 ft wider ... For indoor, there is a smaller channel called "Volleyball Explained" which goes super in depth about some players and skills. The ones that come with the other Spectrum nets are just so much easier to push into the ground. I think for a backyard setup the Spectrum Pro is fine, but for tournaments or more competitive games, the Classic ends up lasting longer and feels more like you're playing on a good net, which to me is worth it for that extra $50-75.

You're contacting the ball basically with the same timing as a typical top-spin jump serve, but to increase the spin on the ball, you need to contact the ball right to left, swinging across your body. Controlling takes loads of practice. But it's also not really good for your shoulder.
Make sure your technique is PERFECT. Shrug your shoulders hard to squeeze every inch out of your frame, and make sure any penetrating you do, if you're not soft blocking, is done by crunching your core and not by pushing your arms forward. Always be reaching up and adjust your angle with your core.
