The Basics: 2005 Magnum RT, 138K Miles, bone stock, recently replaced throttle body and thermostat, still need to replace crank sensor and fix front suspension problems. This means that heat isn’t drawn away from the engine, causing it to overheat. Thermostats fail a bit differently. Sometimes a failing thermostat will fail to open at the desired coolant temperature, preventing coolant from continuing through the system.
