Some good units would be khuzait noble line horse archers, battanian or aserai archers, Menavliations, falxmen, aserai Mameluke guards, sturgian line breakers, vlandian or khuzait cavalry. The important things being fast cavalry, good archers, and any 2H infantry mixed with legionaries/ other shield infantry.This is great testing and confirms my beliefs on top tier archers just from playing alot. I have always told people fian/master archer/khuzait marksman. The palatine guard really surprised me tho. the palatine guard has a better bow than both marksman and master archer but has worse archery skill than the master archer.

Infantry units without a shield suck. So I have noticed that enemies use more projectiles (or at least it seems to be the case) in bannerlords. All my infantry units that lack shield are just cannon fodder even when I place them behind shielded infantry and will most likely die to projectiles, it seems that the AI is smart enough to focus them ...Infantry: Hired Blade - vlandian pikemen beat them even before their armor buff & yes vlandian pikemen dont have a shield but they can still be decent against cavalry when used appropriately. Then, have the cavalry divided into two skeins, one flanking either side. Move the infantry and archers to a high vantage point and have cavalry charge, then have infantry charge after the enemy is disoriented to clean up the mess. 2.Battanians may have the best archers (Fian Champains), but the Imperials can match them with their own Palpatine Guard.
