What happens if I get nextbridge? As it's a known issue that trading is halted and only speculations about next week. NextBridge should be worth the sum of its future cash flows, which for the investors will be crystallized as the dividend. That is worth much more than a cent! I hope trading resumes and the price falls to a cent. The lower the price, the higher the margin of safety. I will be happy to buy for a cent what might be worth $25 to $60.
They don't come in to AST, they go out. AST has (or had) the full allotment of shares from the spin-out. The exact amount they were supposed to have. But every share at the brokers is supposed to be a real share and all are exactly the same. Tax liability from Nexbridge. I have xxxx shares of MMTPL I have my MOSS exit statagy set. My question is, I hold these shares in a retirement account, if I let a portion roll into Nextbridge. I assume I will be forced to pay taxes on the gains as well as a penalty for removing the assets from the retierment account.
The problem occurs if NextBridge does end up selling to a big oil company. That means the dividend will have to be paid to the 165 million shares spread out between 65,000 people. What happens when the dividend is paid but there's still 100's of millions of shares and 30,000 shareholders holding their dicks instead of a divided?
