This bullet is better at normal 7mm-08 speeds and at closer ranges to ensure proper expansion. The loads I pulled out of manuals 30 years ago are gone; the most current manuals tell me that the 7×57 Mauser now lags about 200 fps behind the 7mm-08 Rem. This is based on pressures now considered safe in older actions, not on case capacity, and not on working pressure in modern actions.

I worked up loads with the 139 i-lock using the Winchester min to Max (51gr), I found 47 to 48 gr loads were printing 1moa groups.

Extremely accurate. The factory ammo available cripples it IMO. It will shoot those 160-170 class for sure, not sure on the bullets above that as far as velocity and twist rate.
