Posted August 25, 2023. Loop the hose coming off the valve cover nipple. Keep the loop higher than the cover nipple. If hose is not long enough, buy a longer hose. Use wyr tires to maintain the loop & secure to frame. Don't scrunch the ties so tight as to crush the tube, just enough to gently hold the hose. The loop will help prevent oil/vapors ...

One way to test the solenoid is to put a jumper across the main (larger) wires. It will spark a little when doing that, but that bi-passed the solenoid and should turn the starter. If that does, you've narrowed it down to either no power from the starter button or bad solenoid.To save .20 cents a gallon dosn't make sense. Maybe lower octane will make a little more power like 1 or 2 hp, IF it dosn't detonate and ruin your motor. I only use 93 or 92 octane in all my single cylinder 4 strokes.
