It's the lightest QD mount yeah, the lightest LPVO mount is the Aero Precision one at 3oz - which is non-QD. I wouldn’t trust that. I don’t think you’ll save much weight changing the mount. I have the Strike Eagle 1-8x24 on the Vortex cantilever mount. I could be wrong, but there’s better places to save weight. Agreed.

I put a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 LPVO on my 16" SFAR. PSA has the optic with a mount on sale for $320. By no means a precision scope but I can ring steel out to 300 yards using known hold overs. I'll try to stretch it out to 600 when the weather gets better. Minute of man was my goal with the Ruger.
