IIRC the description for Active Camo in Breakpoint have the upgrade levels named in such a way that implies it’s still being trialed. I suppose it is new technology after all. Breakpoint was originally set before GRFS, but at some point between the announcement and release it was changed to being set in 2035, so I assume it’s result of that.Optimal camo will be completely invisible to enemy if they are unaware, but touch them and they notice you. Ive got the optical camo and the GRFS version and the GRFS didnt seem like it did anything, that it was just a gimmick. The GRFS outfit i didnt see anything about it helping with lowering detection rates both in game and on forums and such, and i still havent seen any info on it other than "i think" type of comments.

Optic Camo doesn't work as advertised. Other than completing the whole Predator look, it doesn't do anything outside of make you look cool. I thought that this would be a god-send to help tier mode progress quicker but it doesn't seem to do that as I get detected just as quickly as if I wasn't using the camo in the first place.
