The ascent might as well be up an elevator shaft, gaining approximately 2,000 feet of elevation in two miles. This is a great little trail on Mt. Lemmon that is usually ridden in connection with other trails. Start at the top of Bear Wallow/Bigelow road next to the TV towers. To access Bear Wallow/Bigelow road, head up Lemmon Highway about 1 mile past the Palisades Visitors Center and turn right onto Bear Wallow/Bigelow Road.
