Was kinda hoping the CMD would just default to doing any jobs needed but it doesn't appear to work that way. Only dwarves with Masonry enabled will work on it, then. (Unless you're building it out of wood, or metal, which will need Carpenters or Blacksmiths.) If you turn hauling (and any other relevant labours) off for all masonry-enabled dwarves, they will be much more focused on building. fyi.

I did assign the chief medical dwarf a doctor slot, but according to the wiki doctors won't do anything unless a patient gets diagnosed first, and it doesn't look like I can assign a single dwarf to multiple roles in the hospital.
