I got a 5 on BC and ended up taking calc 2 at UMD despite not needing to. It’s absolutely not worth it - calc 2 and calc 3 are extremely different in terms of the material that you learn.

If you can pass algebra 2, just take math 123 & 124 instead of 113. The pacing is much slower and you're still getting all the same info. It's a PLACEMENT test - take the class you placed into. Trying to get into a course that is above what you're generally capable for is just asking to be miserable. I understand the "but fewer classes!"
