This is a known issue and GMC has not issued a recall for it, nor are they covering any cost of repair. When the car is put into park, the screen displays a message that says "shift to park". This results in being unable to turn the car off.I have had it on my '18 twice. First time the fix, per GM TSB, was to add a portion of wiring harness. That fix only lasted about a month. Next time, the dealer replaced the shifter assembly. So far so good. The work around is pretty simple. Put it in park and a quick flick of the shifter button will clear the message. Annoying but not a big deal.

My 2018 Acadia (16,000 miles) has started to give the Shift to park warning more frequently in the past month or so. I haven't taken it in yet because I know they won't find anything wrong. I've tried all kinds of things to remedy to no avail.
