I was downgraded due to some problems I was having. My internet speeds crashed for day for no reason. After a few tests by a tech the problem was assumed to be a faulty CR1000B router.

The CR1000A and E3200 don't work wirelessly with each other, so the ethernet method only works if you're going to keep it connected full time with ethernet. (You mentioned moving it to another location.) Your first method (coax) will work as long as the coax from the E3200 and the coax to the CR1000A are connected to each other.
