Feb 25, 2024 · We started out in Cancun so the drive to where Chichen Itza is located is about 2-2 1/2 hours away so we took the freeway, which was mainly empty. Our first stop was the Cenote. At first I was a little skeptical on why we were visiting the Cenote so early in the morning but a) it was warm so the temperature was perfect for it b) we beat the crowds.
