So these were the first two runs I started doing in sunbreak and rewatching them, they're pretty awful lol. HBG was so much harder to do than LBG its laughab...Plus shield mods and scope mod don't exist. Plus LBG has a spread gun with a disgusting amount of raw. Spread HBG might do more damage than spread LBG on paper but in a real hunt, there's just no good reason to play spread HBG over LBG in sunbreak. IMO the only thing HBG is best at in sunbreak is elemental pierce ammo. 4.Rpf pierce 2 LBG can outdamage pierce 3 HBG by quite a bit. (Not to mention LBg has Mizu's LBG which does Pierce 3 while walking and shooting at clip size 5 and lowest recoil and reload. With how fast late game monsters are and some with insane range and AOE, LBG is better at evading and repositioning so it's easier to use. HBG has an option to equip a shield tho. With guard 5, tune up 1, Embolden 3 and some lvls of guard up as needed, HBG can tank majority of monster attacks. Basically, Rise's gimmick (Wirebug) covers HBG's weaknesses better than LBG. The light bowgun can use 2 parts. to improve the gun's performance. The Long Barrel is usually a must-have as it increases the base attack power of the gun. However, the Silencer reduces the recoil by 1 level so equip the Silencer if you want more control.
