The triangle with the ! in it is on steady and remains as soon as I start the car. When I drive for a short period the "check VSA system" light comes on and also remains on.I was told at the shop where I've been take the Element that the code, 81-1 means the ABS control unit needs to be replaced. Cost for the unit $1,460.00! All fuses have been checked. It has a new battery I put in about six months ago. I was told that when the ABS light comes on it usually comes on after the break light.I have an 06 element I have owned for many years and has lots of miles on it. It recently lit the engine light on me and throws a code P0141 which is the downstream 02 on the cat. So I purchase two denso 02 sensors, one upstream and one downstream and replaced them myself.
