Mar 24, 2024 · Okay I bought a 2012 Dodge avenger 2.7 L the ignition had been tampered with so the key fit loosely and the mounting brackets were broken.So I decided I was gonna replace the ignition taking it out I broke the halo on the sentry immobilizer receiver so I bought a used receiver off of eBay but to no avail I was told I could not flash a used receiver. Repro steps are: start up. ride until you get to running temperature. shut off. let sit for ~15 minutes. start up (long crank) Try to start it right away or let it get back to cold and it will work perfectly. It first happened a few weeks ago, I took it to be checked and they said it was the alternator. I had the alternator and battery replaced.
