The drain plug for the counter balancer is a 3/8" bolt under the engine with a philips "X" in it. There is also an engine crankcase drain plug there ...

A neighbor brought this 1995 Polaris Xplorer 400 4X4 over that had been sitting for a few years. the first thing I did was dismantle and completely clean the carb which had oil in it when i opened it up.
